Larian Studios ' Baldur's Gate 3 role-playing game is ambitious...very ambitious. So much so that the time required to complete its development is longer than expected. Hoping to play version 1.0 in 2022 seems less and less realistic.

In an interview with PCGamesN , Larian Studios founder Swen Vincke hints that Baldur's Gate 3 won't be finished this year: "We'll distribute it when it's ready. The main focus here is quality: to bring the game to the level of quality it needs to be,” he said.

In the same breath, he specifies that the team will not get bogged down in development hell, a common phenomenon in the industry, especially at the level of AAA productions: "That said, we think that we still need a year to get there . But this will be the last year. We are coming to the end of the project”.

Baldur's Gate 3 is available in early access since October 6, 2020 on PC. seventh update has just been rolled out for the RPG, which introduces the Barbarian class alongside a ton of other new features, improvements (including UI and nearly 700 cutscenes) and fixes of bugs.
